We
are a group of dedicated individuals with a common vision: committed to peace, education, non-violent conflict resolution, environmentalism,
sustainability, kindness, personal empowerment, and community activism.
We are committed to expanding the philosophy of 'Oneness' in
every aspect of our lives. Each member is a diplomat sharing the nature of 'Oneness' in their own way. Each diplomat will
share, teach, and explore, their understanding of the nature of 'Oneness' within their chosen media, action/non action. They are free
to move, observe, reflect, including the esoteric awareness for the way we treat our world, neighbors, friends, family,them selves;
and the way we consume, think, and behave.

Awakening the Dragon Events
The Awakening
the Dragon Events are well-founded events for the advancement of the Spirit of Buddha (the betterment and enlightenment
of humanity). Established in 2004 by American Buddhist Michael Nolan, the purpose of the events are not only to promote
the understanding of martial arts in a safe environment but to also enhance ones body , spirit, and life which are portrayed
through daily life choices, academic achievements, social life, and horning crucial values such as determination, emotional balance,
and discipline. Michael Nolan and The American Buddhist Sangha Inc. work closely with local organizations such as Broward Community College Intramural Sports Department, MAF and others to host, support and promote socially active events. Past and Future events include: * Holiday Canned Food drive for the less fortunate * Kenpo class * Free Martial Arts Tournaments * Martial Arts Expos
* Meditation class
We would like to thank the American
Buddhist Sangha Inc. for promoting our site.
Buddha?s spirit within the Martial Arts
Honor, benevolence, honesty, respect, peace, love, and living a virtuous life are the most essential aspects of the liberation. Removing the spiritually of Buddha from Martial Arts can only lead to violence. It is the union of the inner spirit and the development of the physical body that separates an enlightened person from the unknowing.
The union also helps the student discover one?s inner peace and self control. So enlightenment helps to clarify the spiritual nature of both resistance and violence. While providing the spirit with the means to pursue harmony, and enabling the body to protect one?s self. The spiritual nature of the Budo is peace, harmony with one?s surroundings, and the avoidance of confrontation. However, if one can not avoid the impending violence of an opponent, the preferred response is to stop the action with redirection of the aggression
